The Pickleball Club will host a "Dinks and Drinks" event on Thursday, December 11th. Games begin at 4:00pm on our beautiful pickleball courts, followed by a Social Hour at 5:00pm in the screened patio. The club will provide a variety of appetizers and water. Club members are invited to bring other beverages of choice.

Welcome Back Barbecue
Welcome Back Barbecue
Our "Welcome Back Barbecue" was a huge success. Over 80 members enjoyed an afternoon of pickleball, fun, food and friendship. Besides the usual fare of hot dogs, hamburgers, and veggie burgers, several members brought various salads to share with the gathering. A great time was had by all!

The Pickleball Club hosted a "Dinks and Drinks" event on Thursday, October 23. Games began at 4:00pm on our beautiful pickleball courts, followed by a Social Hour at 5:00pm in the screened patio. Over 40 people joined in a fun evening with friends and enjoyed the variety of appetizers provided by the club. Our next "Dinks and Drinks" is December 11th.
Our first FAll event was a "Pizza Party and Ice Cream Social" on Thursday, September 25.
Unfortunately, it rained preventing us from our pre-dinner PB Games. Nonetheless, we gathered in the ballroom for pizza, salad and an ice cream social at 5:00pm. We enjoyed the opportunity to eat, mingle with friends and make our own ice cream sundae or root beer float.

"Dinkin Donuts"
Over 25 members stopped by our fabulous courts Sunday morning for coffee and donuts compliments of the Pickleball Club. Some played pickleball while others came out to chat with fellow club members.

Musical Round Robin and Pot Luck Dinner
The Pickleball Club hosted a “Musical Round Robin” followed by a Potluck Dinner. Over 60 residents came out to enjoy games, food, and camaraderie with fellow club members. Our pickleball games were enlivened by music from DJ Ricardo. We were even treated to some Pickleball Zumba thanks to Shirley Goncalves. Delicious foods were prepared by members and shared throughout the evening as we enjoyed music provided by Alex Swanson. This was a fun filled event that was enjoyed by all.

PicklePalooza- a fun filled Carnival Style Event
PicklePalooza- a fun filled Carnival Style Event
Our PicklePalooza event provided carnival style games, food and prizes. Participants enjoyed games of skill such as Paddle Race, Bucket Ball, and Paddle Battle. Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious lunch while socializing with friends. A dozen prizes were won during our ticket drawing.

Pickleball Play began at 4:00pm on our beautiful pickleball courts. Play was followed at 5:00pm with a gathering in the ballroom for a selection of light fare and a "Make Your Own Sundae" social.

The Pickleball Club provided coffee and donuts to club members who came out to the courts that morning. Over 26 members joined in for pickleball, coffee, donuts and the company of friends.

Dinks and Drinks Pool Party
On Friday, April 26th, the Pickleball club hosted a "Dinks and Drinks Pool Party". We played pickleball for an hour and then went to the screened patio for snacks and drinks. Next, we joined the HOA Happy Hour with DJ Ricardo. The music was lively and many of our members were up and dancing to the lively tunes. The pool was available for anyone who wished to swim.

A paddle vendor, Don Levine, was onsite sharing insights and tips on selecting a pickleball paddle that best suits our needs. Participants had an opportunity to play with a variety of paddles that Don brought with him. Afterwards, we convened in the Ballroom for a Pizza Party. In addition to pizza, we feasted on a delicious tossed salad, fruit salad and desserts.
It was another successful event, enjoyed by all who attended.

Our last "Dinks and Drinks" event took place on Thursday, March 28, at 4:00pm. We played an hour of pickleball before heading over to the screened patio for Happy Hour. The club provided snacks and everyone brought their drink of choice. There was plenty of food and we all enjoyed socializing with other club members.

The Pickleball Club hosted an exciting event that included Round Robin style play, lunch, and a game of “Pickleball Bingo”. We began playing pickleball on a chilly Sunday morning at 10:30am. The cool air did not discourage our BV pickleball players though. After several quick games, we went to the ballroom for Pickleball Bingo. There were multiple winners in each Bingo game and prizes were awarded. A delicious lunch was served after we finished our Bingo games. A fun time was had by all and participants were even able to get home in time to watch the Sunday afternoon football playoff game

Dinks and Drinks started at our PB courts and then followed with Happy Hour in the Screened Patio. The club provided a variety of delicious snacks/appetizers and members brought their drink of choice. We will schedule this event again in January.

Pickleball Club held its annual meeting in the Screen Patio near the ballroom. At this brief meeting we discussed plans for the coming year and selected officers for 2024. The current officers agreed to serve for another year.
Joe Stein led us in a variety of dynamic stretches.

Our club partnered with the Tennis Club to host a "Sports Injury Prevention & Performance Enhancement Workshop". The workshop was extremely informative and provided participants with a number of exercises to help them stay healthy and avoid injuries on the courts.
November 5th-- PicklePalooza Festival
On Sunday, November 5th, the Pickleball Club will hosted a special event that included pickleball play, carnival games, food, and drinks. Our "PicklePalooza" event included carnival style pickleball games such as "Hit the Spot, Pickle Hoops, Pickle Hole and Paddle Race". We followed these games with lunch outside the ballroom and in the screened patio. Lunch included carnival style foods, including a variety of subs, corndogs, chips, popcorn and ice cream.
At this part of our event, we held:
a 50-50 drawing for a cash prize
drawings for winning tickets from our carnival games
announced the winner of the Jellybean contest
A good time was had by all who attended.
Dinks and Drinks
Our "Dinks and Drinks" event was held on October 26, 2023 following the rescheduled "Dink Dink Tournament". After the tournament open play began at 4:15pm. At 5:15 we headed to the screened patio for our club Happy Hour. The club provided snacks and everyone was welcome to bring their own drinks.
We were joined by many club members who came out to socialize and enjoy the company of fellow members.
Dink Dink Tournament
Was held on October 26
This event challenged pickleball players of all skill levels focusing on dinking, an important part of a pickleball game. This rescheduled tournament was a fun way to practice our dinking skills. Games lasted for 10 minutes and points were recorded by Bruce Maltzman. We stopped the tournament after three games and followed up with 45 minutes of open play.
Ed Leefer came in first place and was awarded a championship prize.
Dennis Klein came in a close second place and also won a prize.

Our Dink Dink Tournament was rained out by a sudden downpour. The courts were too wet to play on, but nonetheless, we held our luncheon in the ballroom and enjoyed lunch and the company of fellow club members.

Fifty-Six residents participated in the club event, socializing with friends that we usually only see on the courts. There was an abundance of food prepared with volunteers who manned the grill throughout the party. Near the end of the party, we raffled off a gift basket and held a 50/50 raffle. A good time was had by all.
